DIY CARDBOARD PLAYHOUSE | HOW TO MAKE A CARDBOARD PLAYHOUSE FOR KIDS

Hi folks, Let’s see how to make a DIY Cardboard PlayHouse for kids. This is a Foldable Travel Friendly House with Velcro joints, and additionally it’s low-cost.

This simple kids’ playhouse provides a fun private place to play, sleep, enjoy quiet time, read indoors or outdoors. Great for play areas, school daycare, playroom, backyard, park, camping, and more. Creates a magical place for kids to enjoy their very own kingdom to play, read, and relax.

Below cardboard playhouse that you see is made by my brother, Arun for his son. In the video, you can see both my little one and his kid playing in it.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Cardboard boxes
  • Velcro strips
  • stapler
  • cutter
  • PVC pipes (for roof inner structure)
  • wooden door knob
  • Additional: light, wiring, switch box, CPU fans

STEPS TO MAKE THE DIY PLAYHOUSE:

  1. Pick a large box to use. Or few medium sized ones to create sides and roof of the playhouse.
  2. Place the open ends on the bottom. You can close the flaps or cut them off, depending on what you want. (We have cut them out.)
  3. Create the extended roof structure with cardboard pieces. For roof support create 4-5 triangle pieces inserted to top side opening, and connect each with PVC pipes to give good support for the roof top pieces to rest over it.
  4. Cut out the doors and windows. Create doors with knobs, and window designs as per your choice.
  5. Use Velcro straps on all joints. So, it can be disassembled and assembled when needed.
  6. To make it more real, get the playhouse bright with light and fan connected.
  7. Paint and decorate the playhouse based on a theme your kid would love.
